Meet Rhys Cohen
Rhys is a drug policy and politics nerd with a social science background. He’s a passionate advocate for evidence-based drug policy and medical cannabis access.
Rhys first got into the cannabis field during university where he wrote his Honors thesis on the politics of cannabis legalisation in the United States. He subsequently led the team who produced Australia’s first White Paper on medical cannabis, in collaboration with the University of Sydney Business School.
Since then he’s worked on a variety of medical cannabis projects including producing and running Australia’s first comprehensive medical cannabis education program. And he spent 18 months as the Senior Project Officer at the Lambert Initiative for Cannabinoid Therapeutics at the University of Sydney.
Now leading the FreshLeaf team, Rhys spends his days reading and writing, producing custom research for clients, and basically talking everyone’s ears off about everything cannabis.
